Summary of role and team:
As a Senior molecular biologist, you will lead the molecular biology lab and manage genetics-related projects within Future Meat Technologies. You will be part of our biology and genomics team and will collaborate closely with scientific and regulatory experts.

Your day-to-day:
• As the company’s molecular biology expert, you will lead and manage projects related to development and characterization of new cell lines.
• You will collaborate with scientists from different divisions within the company. Your collaboration will be required to answer key question in the genomics and metabolomics fields.
• Plan studies utilizing genomic data to answer biological questions and facilitate the development of new cell lines.
• You will work closely with our computational biologists to execute analysis of large-scale sequencing data (RNA-seq and whole genome).
• Communicate findings in simple yet accurate manner in presentations, reports, publications, and patents.
• Manage Junior scientist

Required qualifications:

The ideal candidate

Must-Have:
• PhD or equivalent in relevant discipline (molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology).
• Experience in creating, developing, and running cellular assays; engineering cell lines to express or knock-down genes of interest, interrogating cellular signal transduction and metabolic pathways (PCR, rt-PCR, CRISPR genome editing, genotyping, mutagenesis, transfections, stable line generation, DNA and RNA preparation).
• Experience with cell culture (mammalian or avian, adherent or suspension).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to mentor junior staff, and a history of building strong professional relationships
• Highly organized and accurate.
• Ability to multi-task and handle many projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a dynamic & fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:
• 2+ years of experience within industry (pharma, biotech, food) .
• Experience with metabolic pathways- analysis and manipulations.
• experience with accurate and diligent documentation of work, reagent preparation and sample tracking (electronic lab notebook).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Problem-solving mind
• Knowledge in developmental biology & differentiation
