The laboratory is engaged in the integrative diagnosis of mitochondrial diseases through a combination of advanced technologies and classical methods. The laboratory operates under an innovative model that bridges the clinic, diagnostics, and research, creating a unique synergy to advance diagnostics, understand disease mechanisms, and develop personalized treatment capabilities.

Responsibilities:
– Leading the diagnostic process in collaboration with the clinical team and professionals from other laboratories in the department, to build a comprehensive disease profile.
– Implementing new work methods.
– Conducting laboratory tests as needed.
– Analyzing data and producing accurate diagnostic reports.
– Maintaining quality procedures and regulatory standards in the laboratory.
– Participating in training laboratory staff and improving work processes.
– Participating in research to develop diagnostic methods and personalized treatments.

Required qualifications:

– PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a relevant field.
– In-depth knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
– Experience in sterile work and working with cell cultures.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Excellent analytical skills and data analysis capabilities.
– High proficiency in English, including scientific writing and communication with medical personnel.
– Good interpersonal communication skills and time management ability.
– Significant advantage for experience in working with mitochondria.
– Significant advantage for experience in a clinical laboratory.
– Certificate of recognition from the Ministry of Health – advantage.
– Experience in bioinformatics – advantage.
