DeepCure is searching for a creative, resourceful, and integrative thinker for an important role in our automated chemistry group. As a senior/principal scientist, you will join a team at the heart of applying our transformative Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform to discovering novel therapeutics. The successful candidate will plan and implement creative scientific research through conducting laboratory experiments whilst also being given opportunities to be involved in our discovery team. This may include timeline and resource planning, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data, and providing regular updates with critical input on project results.
This is a strategic growth area of critical importance for DeepCure and you will have fantastic support from a team of outstanding scientists and AI experts along with dedicated facilities. You will also be able to interact with project teams and see real-world impact across our portfolio of drug discovery projects to benefit patients.

Required qualifications:

  • MS in organic chemistry and 2+ years of relevant industrial experience or doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry
  • Scientific expertise in organic chemistry, knowledge of modern literature, in-depth exposure to a wide range of purification and spectroscopic characterization techniques, and the ability to champion new chemistry directions
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team of internal and external co-workers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excitement about the vision and mission of DeepCure to redefine drug discovery through innovation
  • Deep expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry with excitement to innovate using automation
  • Experienced in the use of synthetic chemistry instrumentation: HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and purification systems
  • Expert in using common medicinal chemistry software: electronic notebook, ChemDraw, Excel; Data visualization; structure viewing; chemical and database searching
  • A strong publication record evidencing scientific curiosity and strong communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively on complex problems – Engaged with a diverse group of scientists, integrating data from multiple disciplines.
  • Experience in small molecule drug discovery in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting
