Founded in 2003, Landa Labs is the science innovation and incubation center of the Landa Group. It has a staff of about 200 people, including chemists, physicists, materials scientists and engineers, most with advanced degrees. Collaborating with market-leading companies in the fields in which it operates, Landa Labs is entirely self-funded, operating without government loans or grants. Landa Labs focuses on nanotechnology, specifically nano-materials, aiming to create “Big Things from Small Particles”. Its innovations target large markets which can be disrupted by nanotechnology, including: nano organic pigments, nano inorganics, nano drug delivery, nano metallics and alternative energy.

Job description:

• Apply experience and knowledge of optoelectronics for the design and optimization of laser diodes.
• Apply knowledge of wafer fabrication, specifically III-V GaAs based procedures into the design.

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. in physics/electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience in development of electro-optical devices, including simulations (must) and physical implementation (an advantage).
• Familiarity with semiconductor device physics, process technology and equipment.
• Experience in design and optimization of dielectric layers – a significant advantage.
• Experience with III-V and/or optoelectronic device wafer fabrication – an advantage.
• Matlab/Python and device simulation software skills.
