BreezoMeter is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build our cutting edge environmental data and insights platform, that impacts the lives of millions of our users around the world. In this position you’ll be working with exceptional people in a multidisciplinary R&D team to create inspiring data driven solutions that you can be proud of.

Required qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience in building distributed systems and software
  • Passion for building software that’s extensible, reusable and above all simple to maintain
  • Deep familiarity with one of the following: Python (preferred), Scala, Ruby, PHP, Node
  • Excellent debugging and performance optimization capabilities
  • Deep familiarity with data persistence technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Key-Value)
  • Extensive experience in working with at least one leading public cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
  • Deep experience with Docker and related container orchestration tools

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the design, coding and maintenance a complex cloud based software systems
  • Collaborate with Algorithm Engineers, Data Scientists an other Software Engineers to build highly distributed data and processing components
  • Work closely with Product Managers to create the best environment data and insights delivery platform
  • Coach and support junior developers in the team
  • Take leading part in shaping the technical roadmap of the backend system
