Galam operates in two main areas:

FoodTech – the company uses innovative technologies to produce healthy raw materials and food additives with added value that provide various solutions for food and food additive manufacturers and specializes mainly in sugar & calories reduction, taste improvement, fiber enrichment and prebiotic fibers.

Industry – the company produces a variety of raw materials and ingredients, including natural and processed starches, fructose (fruit sugar), and glucose syrup for the food and beverage industry, cardboard and paper, textiles, and other industries. Most of the company's products are produced from raw materials that are not genetically modified (hereinafter: NON -GMO). The industry division sells additional nutritional ingredients such as protein, sprouts and oils, and fibers to feed companies.

Required qualifications:

Role Overview
The Research Manager will lead applied research and the development of products and processes in the fields of food, chemistry, and biochemistry. The role combines strong theoretical depth with hands-on experimental work, aiming to enhance product quality, optimize manufacturing processes, and deliver advanced technological solutions to the organization and its customers.

Key Responsibilities
•Process & Product Development:
Initiate and implement improvements to existing products and manufacturing processes.
•End-to-End Experimental Management:
Independently design and execute experiments (hands-on in the lab), analyze results, and apply both basic and advanced chemical laboratory methods.
•Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Write clear and structured research reports, organize data, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
•Scientific Research & Literature Review:
Conduct in-depth scientific research, review professional literature, and continuously stay updated with global trends and technologies, demonstrating a strong passion for science.

Requirements

Education:

•PhD in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Chemical Engineering – strongly preferred

•M.Sc. candidates will be considered only with exceptional and extensive experience

Experience:

•5–6 years of industry experience in a research role (mandatory)

•Proven experience supporting processes from development through production

•Preferred background: Pharma (high priority), Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology

Technical Skills:

•Hands-on experience with both basic and advanced chemical laboratory methods

Languages:

•Native-level Hebrew

•High proficiency in English (spoken, written, and professional reading)
