The Ella Lemelbaum Institute for Immuno-oncology and Melanoma is a world-class center for both melanoma treatment, clinical trials, and translational research.

Job description:

At the Research and Development lab of the Institute we study melanoma-immune cell interactions, mechanisms of melanoma escape of T cell elimination, metabolism of both melanomas and T cells, and techniques in which T cell-based therapy can be improved for better clinical benefit. We work closely with the medical staff of the Institute and have a vast depository of both human melanoma cell lines and T cells, as well as extensive in vivo work. We look for an experienced, open minded, adventurous, and independent research associate to join our translational projects.

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D in Immunology (advantage), molecular or cellular biology
• Hands on experience with tissue culture techniques- must
• Experience in in vivo mouse models- advantage
• Experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques
• Experience in scientific writing and presentation
• Fluent English
