How you’ll spend your day:

Act as a project champion within the Genomic and Computational Biology team and support the TPM unit from within Early Clinical Development .
– To provide high-quality computational biology, genomics and biomarker consultation and services to all Teams from discovery through POC to loss of exclusivity
– To consistently employ innovative study designs and the best computational biology practices for data analysis and interpretation in order to maximize the value of our medicines
– Championing and supporting the TPM group
– When required, make credible recommendations to Teva senior management about the strategic direction of Genomic Computational Biology
– Report to the head of Genomic Computational Biology
Partners with statistics, discovery, non-clinical, clinical development and Real World Evidence (RWE) teams

Partners with statistics, discovery, non-clinical, clinical development and Real World Evidence (RWE) teams
– Work closely in collaboration with the TPM experts to design and execute pharmacogenomics and biomarker studies, including targeted genotyping, GWAS, whole genome/exome sequencing, RNA expression (e.g. ScRNAseq), protein expression and other biomarkers of interest; analyze publicly available genomic and computational biology datasets to support activities such as target validation and biomarker discovery

Required qualifications:

Your experience and qualifications:

PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Quantitative Genetics, Biostatistics, Computer Science or similar
A broad understanding of the applications of computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, and machine learning to Research & Development
2 years of post-doctorate or industry experience in computational biology and/or related fields with hands-on experiences in multi-omic biomarker analysis of large scale datasets with the ability to apply this to scientific problems
Well versed in computational biology, bioinformatics and machine learning methodology and implementation, data mining and visualization
Deep knowledge in discovery, translational medicine, biomarkers, pharmacogenetics / genomics, and clinical development
Proficiency in R programming required, as well as Python, Perl, SAS, S+, C++, UNIX/LINUX, Oracle and/or MySQL
A track record of sustained delivery and innovation within the discipline
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects
A track record of influencing external environment through contributions to collaborations, committee membership, presentations and publications
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with an ability to see the big picture and think strategically
Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
