Job description:

Summary of role and team: Establishing the formulation filed within our media development department. Formulating cell culture media to support the growth of cultured biomass, supporting the media preparation process from small scale till production.

Your day-to-day
• Plan and execute experiments and analyses for cell culture media formulation.
• Improve existing media formulation and preparation process.
• Identify potential challenges and optimize raw materials characterization.
• Manage preparation protocol versions, exams, analyses, and formulations.
• Support the up-scaling process of media formulation and preparation.
• Define and track analyses during the process.
• Work closely with media development teams as well as other departments: biologists, engineers, and chemists.

Required qualifications:

The ideal candidate

Must Have:
• MSc/PhD in Physical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• High-level expertise in formulation of solutions / suspension / solids / liquids.
• At least 3 years of experience as a formulator in industries of culture media, cultured meat, food, pharma, or other relevant fields.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work and communicate with professionals with diverse expertise.
• Highly organized and accurate.
• Ability to multi-task and handle many projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic & fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:
• Experience working in GLM/GMP/HACCP environment.
• Experience in working in a sterile environment.
• Experience in mentoring or managing other team members.
• Some knowledge in cell biology or cell biochemical pathways.
