The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with research focusing on multiscale 3D cryo-imaging of biological samples. We seek candidates interested in pursuing a strong research program in any aspect of organismal, cellular and/or molecular biology using integrative structural approaches. Priority will be given to applicants with demonstrated excellence and a track record in combining several of the following technologies for 3D imaging: micro-computed tomography (micro-CT), correlative light-electron microscopy methods, cryo-focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy, cryo-electron tomography, single-particle cryo-electron microscopy, and cryo-atomic probe tomography.

Required qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D (or equivalent) degree in Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics or related fields. Postdoctoral training or comparable research experience is also a requirement. The candidate's research excellence will be demonstrated by publications in respected top-ranked journals, evidence of success in attracting competitive research funding (fellowships), and presentations at international scientific conferences. A history of successful collaborative work and teaching experience will be positively valued. We request three letters of reference from qualified referees in a relevant field of study.
